Bed Bugs
Info
Bed bugs have become a huge problem in Canada over the last few years and it is no different in the GTA. Single family homes, condominiums, apartments and alternative housing have become affected.

The first step in dealing with the bed bug is admitting that you have them, the second step is understanding them and the third is to get treatment.
Treatment should be done as soon as possible so they don’t spread throughout the home and so you don’t carry them to work or other people’s home. These pest travel and will not go away on their own.
Bed bugs are small brownish, flattened parasites that feed on blood of mammals and birds. They are most active in warmer weather and are strongly attracted to higher temperatures, coming out at night and hiding in crevices during the day.
Bed bugs are mainly found in mattresses, walls and furniture and can live up to one year without feeding. Although bed bugs are not considered to be a health hazard because they do not carry disease, the bites, associated costs and mental stress caused by these pests can be extremely disturbing.
Females lay their eggs in secluded areas. The eggs are tiny, whitish, and barely visible (size of a dust spec) and it takes two weeks for them to hatch. One treatment is not enough to break the egg cycle, three treatments spaced every two week is becoming the method used by pest control companies when dealing with bed bugs.
Preparation for treating bed bugs can be overwhelming; washing all clothing in the home, vacuuming extensively for days, removing infested items etc. but this is the only way for treatment to be successful. Regular and Non Toxic option available.
Preparation for regular treatment
Make plans for you and your family to be out of the house during and after the service for the following length of time:
