ICE offers Integrated Pest
Management Programs to the GTA

All businesses and commercial units have their own unique pest control requirements and ICE designs Integrated Pest Management programs to meet them. We pride ourselves on using environmentally safe, non-toxic solutions whenever possible. Our goal is to not only solve the initial pest problem, but to create an effective solution for prevention. We incorporate Integrated Pest Management in all of our facilities.

What Is Integrated Pest Management?

Integrated Pest Management is a strategy intended to control pests in a proactive way. An IPM program properly monitors and controls the life cycles of pests and maintains the pest population by monitoring the organisms and preventing them from turning into pests. The IPM plan also monitors the effectiveness of pest treatments and offers solutions for preventative controls.

How IPM Helps Business Owners

Each client will be set up on a program to eliminate current issues, prevent future infestations, and to determine how, why and where problems originate. The pest management plan will be on a weekly, biweekly or monthly basis (tailored to your needs) with a yearly contract. All of the programs provided will meet or exceed all regulatory or audit agency standards, including (and not limited to) HACCP, MOE, AIB and FSEP.

Inspection

A thorough inspection is conducted at your facility. We pay careful attention to the five key pest activity zones:

  • Entry points
  • Water sources
  • Food sources
  • Harborage points
  • Employee and customer areas

Identification

Every pest is different and requires a unique plan of action. We will work with you to determine the location, the number of pests at your facility and the right treatment plan to eliminate the problem. Non-toxic methods are always considered whenever possible.

Interior and Exterior Repairs, Maintenance and Prevention

Once the current pest problem is resolved we will also work closely with you to prevent further infestations by identifying structural deficiencies. Caulking, cement, door seals and various other materials may be required. Upon inspection we will provide you with a written quotation for pest proofing your facility.

Corrective Action

It is imperative that corrective action be taken immediately when pest activity is noticed in order to prevent major infestations. There should be an assigned person at your facility that is trained to detect, correct and record any pest activity. The backbone to successful Integrated Pest Management is the sanitation schedule. Regular cleaning of your facility is essential to stop pest infestation. Employee training on a regular basis is also necessary so they can identify any possible infestations or contamination in your facility and report it to the assigned person responsible for your pest control program.

Customized Program

Due to the number of variable factors, there is no set solution for any pest. The size of the building, the condition of the building, the work environment and other factors all play a role. This is why we conduct a comprehensive examination of the building and communicate with key personnel to develop a plan that is customized to your facility.

Comprehensive Reporting

During the monthly service call our technicians are trained to inspect all areas of your facility including production, lunchroom, washrooms/change rooms, common areas, warehouse, etc. Insect monitors, interior and exterior rodent devices and fly lights are checked for activity and everything is written on the Service Report along with any corrective actions taken. Written programs are available and we will work with you to determine how reporting of your Integrated Pest Management program will meet MOE, HACCP, FSEP, AIB and any regulatory, audit or other agency standards.

Experienced and Licensed Technicians

This is the most important step of your Integrated Pest Management program; our licensed professionals look after all your pest control requirements on a regularly scheduled basis. We service apartments and condominiums, manufacturing facilities and warehouses, hospitals, restaurants and more.
